It Won’t Happen Over-night but…

Dear MOMdotCOM.net Friends,

Yesterday I received a note that made me sad, from a user that has not had success with surveys and “threw in” the proverbial “towel.” I sincerely feel for this woman- I have personally “been there, done that.” We all invest time and hope, on occasion, in avenues that just don’t pan out.

Ever had a bad dating experience? The same holds true for online programs…

This is a harsh reality of working with online programs (and in our “real” life work opportunities,) some companies are just not a good fit for us. When this happens, it is best to move and explore an alternate route.

If surveys do not work for you, try mystery shopping. If data entry companies aren’t beating down your door, consider applying for call representative jobs. You can always return to your initial endeavor and add it to your repertoire.

Sometimes what happens is we just need to give things a little more time.

Markets change, needs change, and you may find that one month a survey company is sending you seventeen opportunities and the next month you receive none. (For this reason, I always highly recommend signing up with multiple companies to maximize your opps!)

One thing I know with 99.99 percent certainty. If you are persistent, if you commit the time, and if you remain open to exploring various avenues for earning and saving money via the Internet, you will succeed.

Persistence is key. There are some avenues, such as blogging or selling your crafts, that do not bring a steady cash flow in the beginning of your venture. And again, as the market fluctuates, jobs like surveys and mystery shopping may be plenty or scarce.

Time is hard to come by, but if you want to earn or save, it’s generally worth every penny to dedicate an hour of your day to helping out your financial situation.

Keeping your options open will bring you many rewards. I also highly recommend not “putting your eggs in one basket” and only signing up for surveys. There are many things such as couponing and focus groups, that you can participate in/with simultaneously—doubling and tripling your earning and savings!

Best wishes to you for a successful journey!

Not Having Any Results

QUESTION:  Yes, I was reading your article in Womans World about at home work. I have logged on to the sites you have said and have not had any results.

Do you have to enroll and pay money before you can make any money? Any help or advise you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

ANSWER:   Sometimes it takes a bit to hear back from companies, but if you are interested in a particular area, I suggest signing up with multiple companies.

For example, survey companies and mystery shopping companies don't always have weekly assignments. By signing up with several companies, you will keep a steady flow of assignments as opposed to having occasional assignments with just one company.

I suggest that you never pay a company money. This is generally the first sign of a scam. Like any job, the money should be paid to you for your hard work.
